He was predeceased by: his parents, Derrell Smith and Kay Francis Smith. He is survived by: his wife Christie Eaton Smith of Jumpertown; his sons, Zane Smith (Asiyanna) of Jumpertown and Zachery Smith of Jumpertown; his siblings, Joel "JoJo" Smith of Jumpertown, Susan Buchanan of Ecru and Leigh Eaton of Jumpertown; and his grandchildren, Shyloe, Cash, Bo'Brayen, Zayen and Charleigh Kay Smith.
