She is survived by: her mother Geneva Tyes; her daughter Metra Blanks (Eric) of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Anthony Bowdry (Monye), Megan Blanks, Emir Blanks and Emory Blanks; her great grandchildren, Kade Bowdry and Kollins Bowdry; her siblings, Bobby Tyes (Wynell), Charlie Ray Tyes, Mattie Wade and Virginia Williams; and her friend Brenda Tyes. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
