It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cody Goss of Avalon, Mississippi, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 34, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Cody departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Cody. Though Cody may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his parents, Wendell I. Goss and Sherry Winters Goss of Avalon, MS; his daughter Ansley Cole Goss of Avalon, MS; his sisters, Alyson Sanford (James) of Louisville, MS and Tonya Hopkins (Eric) of Carrollton, MS; and his nieces and nephews, Carleigh Hopkins, Cadence Hopkins, Joey Hopkins, Mary-Ina Sanford, Olin Sanford and Jesse Sanford.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Williams and Lord Funeral Home (301 Madison Ave, Greenwood, MS 38930). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
