He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Calvin Marsalis, Jr. and Shirley Holifield Marsalis. He is survived by: his children, Chris Marsalis (Melinda) of Ripley, MS, Jeff Marsalis of Denver, CO and Katy Symmank (Dave) of Mt. Vernon, WA; and his brother John Calvin Marsalis of Colorado. He is also survived by three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
