He was predeceased by: his parents, Dee Franks and Esther Franks. He is survived by: his wife Fran Franks of Arkabutla, MS; his daughters, Patsy Gentry (John Glenn) of Arkansas, Pam Lowrimore of Arkabutla, MS, Sondra Edmonds of Arkabutla, MS, Louise Franks of Arkabutla, MS and Danielle Tindall of Arkabutla, MS; and his siblings, Shirley Whitehead of Collinwood, Sarah Andrews of Collinwood, Pam Roberson of Collinwood and Ted Franks of Waynesboro, TN. He is also survived by 8 granddaughters and 4 great grandsons.
