She was predeceased by: her husband William Pete Mitchell; her parents, Leroy Jackson Creel and Julie Maybelle Pinion Creel; and her siblings, Frances Nell High and Roy Earl Creel.

She is survived by: her sons, Paul Douglas Love, Leonard Ray Love, Kenneth Morris Love and Michael Lee Love; and her brother James Edward Creel. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and all of her great-grandchildren.
