He is survived by: his son Jason Cox; his sisters, Diane Adams (Eddie), Frankie Phillips (Jimmy) and Quincy; his half-sisters, Leigh Smith, Sonya Shields and Dana Shields; his brother Danny Shields (Lynn); his half-brother Rusty Reeves; his grandsons, Tyler Shields, Brandon Childress, Jason Allen Cox, Nicholas Lane Cox and Ricky Taylor Cox; his nieces and nephews, Stacy Lee (Allen), Hamilton, Jennifer King (Randy) and Brian Shields; and his close friends, Pam Turman, Steve Phillips, Johnny Knight and Thomas Shields.
