Virginia Frances Coker Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virginia Frances Coker (Amory, Mississippi), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 5, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Hugh and Edna Mae Blackburn Jernigan; her sons, Greg Coker and Jamie Coker; her grandson Billy Coker, Jr.; and her siblings, Nina Buchard, Mae Mathias, Maxine McWhorter, Nancy Lane, Neely Jernigan, Sammy Jernigan and Johnny Jernigan.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce McGuire (Billy) of Wynne, AR, Woodie Coker and Billy Coker (Melissa); her daughter-in-law Denni Coker; her grandchildren, Mickey McGuire (Kristen), Brian McGuire (Megan), Kristen Brunetti, Courtney Harper, Alan Coker, Brandon Daniel, Leanne Lindsey (Nick), Jennifer Gray (John), Eric Coker (Treycee) and Katie Bryan (Dusty); and her brother Larry Jernigan (Beverly). She is also survived by 27 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home (1604 MS-25, Amory, MS 38821). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
