We are sad to announce that on March 10, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Vera Laney Gray (Amory, Mississippi), born in Nettleton, Mississippi. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Crafton Laney and Vera Patterson Laney; her daughter Shawna Ruth Gray; and her siblings, Beatrice Vaughn (Bea), Bonnie Childers, Luke Laney, Alfred Laney and Carl Laney (Cotton).

She is survived by: her husband David Gray; her sons, Kimball Gray (Michelle) and Todd Gray (Beth); her grandchildren, Shawn Gray Seattle (Robin Martinez) of Washington, Nicole Gray and Seattle of Washington; her sisters, Helen Howell, Barbara House (Doyle), Hamilton and Paulette Cates (Hammond Skeen); and her brothers-in-law, Randle Gray (Joyce) and Larry Gray (Judy). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The fund helped many students in Monroe County achieve a college education and it is asked that donations in lieu of flowers be given to the scholarship fund, care of Christian Chapel Church of Christ.
