He was predeceased by: his parents, Melbia Kelso and Louise Kelso (Neal); his wife Joyce Kelso (Alsup); his brother Joe Kelso; his sons, Wayne and Glynn Kelso; his grandson Chris Kelso; and his great grandchildren, Gunnar Rosenthal, Joyce Maxine Langlois and Monica Murray.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Kelso (Denise), Nona Springer (Herbert Sr.) and Teresa Boylan (Lee); and his siblings, Dorothy Harris and Allen Kelso (Sandra). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carter Memorial Chapel at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Rd E, Southaven, MS 38671). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home (290 Goodman Rd E, Southaven, MS 38671). A reception will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Carter Memorial Chapel at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Rd E, Southaven, MS 38671).
