She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Sommer and Esther Gunnison Sommer; her brother Trent Sommer; her son George Thrasher; and her husbands, Dale Douglas and Kenneth Painter.
She is survived by: her children, G. Alan "Skip" Thrasher (Dorothy) of Gilbert, AZ, J. Thomas Thrasher (Sandy) of Gilbert, AZ, Bonnie Harris and Carolyn Brueck of Vernon Hills, IL; her brother J. F. "Jeff" Sommer of Dodgeville, WI; and her sister-in-law Mildred Krause of Stoughton, WI. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
