It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Hawkins (Amory, Mississippi), who passed away on March 20, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gorman Lyle and Gladys Foust Lyle; her husband Charles Hawkins; her sons, Mike Hawkins, Jeff Hawkins, Ricky Hawkins and Mickey Hawkins; her grandson Chad Hawkins; and her siblings, Jean Tartt, Marylee Kennedy, Punkie Lyle, Dickie Lyle, Billy Lyle, Pargie Lyle, Ham Lyle, Midget Lyle and Mildred Lyle.
She is survived by: her daughter Rachel Knight (Lance) of Fayette, AL; her brother-in-law Jimmy Hawkins; her sister Mary Nix (Wilbur); her grandchildren, Heath Hawkins (Melissa), Eli Hawkins, Dianna Hawkins, Dillian Hawkins, Crystal Hawkins and Casey Hawkins; her great grandchildren, Stormie Prestridge (Andy), Emmie Elam (Wesley), Jolee Tubb, Kailie Taylor (Dakota), Tristan Hawkins (Mary Kathryn), Kain Bertinot (Tori) and Summer Jernigan; her great great grandchildren, Paisley, Lucy, Brailen, Chadlee, Madilyn, Clay and Laney; and her cousin Doris.
