He was predeceased by: his parents, Orlando "Pete" Edge and Ethel Short Edge; his brother Denny Elam; and his children, Ken Edge and Kerri Edge.

He is survived by: his wife Dessie Maxey Edge of Smithville; his children, Kevin Edge (Angie) of New Hope and Kelli Edge Steadman (Matthew) of Amory; his brothers, Bob Elam of Belville, IL and Bill Elam of Alabama; his grandchildren, Jordan Steadman, Allie Hughey (Jacob), Annslie Owens (Alex), Kaleb Steadman, Khloe Steadman, Katch Edge, King Edge, Kaptain Edge, Rowan Pollan and Gabe Pollan; his great grandchildren, Braden Steadman, Brewer, Clayton Hughey and Wesson Owens; and his adoptive daughter Stacey Pollan (Jay).
