He was predeceased by: his parents, A. H. Howell and Lorett Tubb Howell; his siblings, Fagin Howell, Earl Howell and Nell English; and his grandson Lance Tyler Howell.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Howell; his children, Vaughn Dale Howell (Leisa) of Hatley, Michael Howell (Stephanie) of Memphis, TN, Cathie Wilkinson (Bryan) of Hatley and Susan Willis (Walt) of Madison; his grandchildren, Callie Northington (Levi), Caroline Boock (Wes), Wes Wilkinson, Aynslee Willis, Abigail Wiedower (Bryce), Audrey Howell (Grant Dale) and Whitt Willis; and his great grandchildren, Darby Northington, Landry Northington and Wells Boock.
