We are sad to announce that on April 15, 2024, at the age of 77, Charlotte Lane O'Briant of Amory, Mississippi, born in Marion, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Alice Mirtie Phillips; and her husband Larry O'Briant. She is survived by: her daughters, Serena White (Keith) of Booneville, MS and Crystal Cantrell (Byron) of Beaverton, AL.; her siblings, Wayne Phillips (Leomi) of Hatley, MS and Judy Phillips of Tuscaloosa, AL.; her grandchildren, Heath Cantrell, Paige Cantrell Roberts, Brian Haithcock (Angel), Alisha Mauney (Justin), Katelan White Hicks (Colton) and Michael White (Niki); and her great grandchildren, Avery Mauney, Mackenzie Mauney, Rowan Mauney, Bailey Haithcock, Conner Haithcock, Rylan Roberts, Silas Cantrell, Kullen Roberts and Hazley Cantrell.

“MS Charlotte was a beautiful person through and through. I had the honor of putting some of her written thoughts to music- Katie Flyer, Steamtrain Maury, The Grounds of the Perkiomen School to name a few. For her birthday one year, together with Hobo Spike, we wrote a song about her titled “MS Charlotte”. All of these songs were recorded in Bruce, MS while attending a Hobo Gathering in Water Valley… her legacy lives on. Loving thoughts, and prayers of comfort and peace ~ Lady Nightingale 🕊”
