He was predeceased by: his father Curtis T. Smith, Sr.; and his sister Barbara Jane Gadd. He is survived by: his mother Illa Ree Basham Smith; his wife Susan Smith; his siblings, Vicki Langford (Dale) and Robert Smith (Tracy); his mother-in-law Mary Jane Swartzendruber; his brothers-in-law, John Swartzendruber (Debra) and Ronnie Gadd; and his nieces and nephews, Taylor Langford (Molly), Kelly Matthews (Jim), Hannah Ardrey (Thomas), Harley Gadd (Paige), Abby and Gracie Swartzendruber.
