He is survived by: his wife Frances Blades; his son Dennis Lee Blades (Jeannie); his grandchildren, Brian Blades (Kelly) of Baton Rouge and Cynthia Raybon (Paul); his great grandchildren, Luke Raybon, Lauren Raybon and Alyssa Blades; and his sister-in-law Katherine Blades of Mobile.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the Agricola Baptist Church Building Fund or the Barton Baptist Church Building Fund.
