He is survived by: his children, John Ashford, Jr., Dorothy Harper (Lee), Barbara Manuel (Charles), Dennis Ashford (Emma), Diane Coleman (Walter Jr.), Charlsie Kirby (George), Fredrick Ashford (LaJoyce), Vera Dubose (Roosevelt), Joann Johnson (Melvin), Luther Edwards and Pearlie Meaders (Eldres); his sisters, Ruby Cork, Alee and Lucy McKinley (Joe); and his brother-in-law Howard Frances. He is also survived by great grands, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
