He was predeceased by: his parents, William V. Stricklin and Thelma Bowen Stricklin; his brothers, Homer Stricklin, Josh Stricklin, Grady Stricklin and Hubert Stricklin; and his grandson Shawn Tyler Stricklin.
He is survived by: his children, Billy Thomas Stricklin Jr. (Marsha) of Ackerman, Michele Robertson (Chuck) of Starkville, Emily Stricklin (Chris) of Ackerman and Johnathan Stricklin (ShiAnn) of Bruce; and his siblings, Nellie Faye Mitchell (Pete) of Jackson and Finley Stricklin of Brandon. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
