With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rosie D. Vance (Aberdeen, Mississippi), who passed away on January 31, 2025 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Cockrell and Bertha Lou Walker; and her sisters, Brenda Cockrell, Lassie B. Randle, Ruthie Robertson and Mary Bowen.
She is survived by: her husband Lee Vance, Jr.; her siblings, Arthur Lee Thompson of Walter Thompson, R. C, Charles Edward Doss, Joe Cunningham, Willie Lee Cunningham, Jerry Cockrell, Velma Thompson and Pearlean Davenport; her siblings-in-law, Sharon Key, Kattrina Vance and Alfredia Vance; and her parents-in-law, David L. Vance, Sr. and Minnie B. Vance.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Belle Memorial Funeral Home (216 MS-25, Aberdeen, MS 39730). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. A burial was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
