He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Tipton and Rosie Dover Tipton; his wife Agnes Mae Bass; his son Eddie Hester; and his brother John Tipton.
He is survived by: his children, Velma West of Tupelo, Rev. Brenda Harrison (Richard) of Aberdeen, James Hester, Barbara Kirton (Mark) and Sherry Wright (Jimmy); and his brother Dan Tipton of Aberdeen. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, 39 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
