We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2020, at the age of 95, Margaret O'Nita Hill (Aberdeen, Mississippi), born in Newton, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bryan Evans and Essie Parker Evans; her husband Kenneth D. Hill; her daughter Kay Hill Sandlin; her siblings, Mary Thornton, Ruth Owen, Anne Barnard, Betty Gay and William Bryan Evans; and her grandsons, Herschel W. Sandlin and Jamie Lann.

She is survived by: her daughters, Gayle Hill Ward (Henry) of Irondale, AL and Janet Hill Gullett (Bill) of Starkville, MS; her grandchildren, Jennifer Waddell, Scott Ward (Lauren), Kathy Walker, Michele Quinn (Michael), Foster Gullett (Laura) and Elizabeth Vines (Phillip); her great grandchildren, Matthew Waddell, Chris Waddell (Sarah), Graham Ward, Thomas Ward, Jessica Gruesbeck, Chaz Gruesbeck, Shelby Munson, Kirby Quinn and Abbey Quinn; her great great grandchild Miles Efird; her son-in-law Herschel Sandlin (Juanita); and her sister-in-law Margaret Evans.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Becker Baptist Church, P.O. Box 83, Becker, MS 38825 or a charity of your choice.

“I remember Ms Nita... She made my gown for the GA program; a long white gown with beads around the neckline. I remember her wonderful cultured Southern accent and the wonderful food she made. I remember her and my mom "killing a hog" in our backyard. I can still hear them laughing and enjoying their time together. My childhood memories are full of times I spent with her and Janet. Please know that she was loved and cherished by many and especially by me!”
