She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jimmy Bates and Mildred Wright Bates; her daughters, Tina Knight Edmonds and Gail Knight Denton; her siblings, Doris Turner (James), Mary Frazier (Marvin), Pete Bates and Danny Bates; and her close friend Debbie. She was also cherished by five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
