He is survived by: his wife Lela Josephine Brown; his sons, James F. Whitehead (Maria) of Brawley, CA and Steven B. Whitehead (Marisa) of Brawley, CA; his brothers, William C. "Bill" Whitehead, Jr. of Emporia, VA, George Irvin Whitehead of Olean, MO, Benjamin A. Whitehead of Charleston and Robert A. Whitehead of Charleston; and his grandchildren, Kayla, Cassandra, Kaitlyn and Logan.
