He is survived by: his mother Carol Gardner (Rick Nelson) of Arbela; his wife Tammy Hammond of Wyaconda; his children, Ann Marie Hammond (Marty Neisen) of Lewistown and Joshua Yocum (Sonia) of Mt. Pleasant, IA; his grandchildren, Hazel Sady Yearns of Lewistown, Sidney Yearns of Lewistown, Kiannah Griffin of Lewistown, Malena Yocum and Aydan Yocum of Mt. Pleasant, IA; his brother Max Hammond (Susan) of Berea, KY; his father-in-law Robert Yocum (Judy) of Wyaconda; and his siblings-in-law, Chad Yocum of Wyaconda and Roby Hammond of Kahoka. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
