He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Roger and Alice Lee Childs; and his brothers, Patrick and Donald "Skeeter" Childs. He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Childs, Ronald Childs (Karen), Vicki Medsker (Doug) and Cindi Noack (Gary); and his nieces and nephews, Angie, Jennifer, Jimmy, Jill, Shelli, Rebecca, Kristin, Jared, Sherri and Gary. He is also survived by 22 Grandnieces and Grandnephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that a donation be made to The Wounded Warrior Project in his name.
