She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Hardwick and Mildred Hardwick (Dickerson); her husband Everett Dean Shemwell; her sons, Jimmy Shemwell and Dean Shemwell (Carol); her grandson Christopher Shemwell; her siblings, Bud Hardwick, Reggie Hardwick (Laura Jane), Ernie Hardwick, Nadine Holmes (Herman) and Thelma Miller (James); and her close friend Roger Townsend.
She is survived by: her son Mike Shemwell; her close friend Jennive "Dimp" Shemwell; her grandchildren, Amanda (Kevin), Jolene and Michael; her great grandchildren, Brianna (Brandon), Kagon, Saige, Duncun, Caleb, Autumn, Avree, Abagail, Finn, Mackynlee and Decklynn; her grandchildren, Frank Jacobson, Brianna and Ashley; her great great grandchildren, Jackston and Jasper; and her siblings, Richard Hardwick (late Erma), Homer Hardwick (Kay) and Helen Bebee (late Henry). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Yarber Mortuary-Winona (17315 3rd St, Winona, MO 65588). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery-Winona.
