He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Petry, and Emma Petry, Sr.; his siblings, Anthony Petry and Thelma Poff; and his daughter Karen Hoelting.
He is survived by: his children, David Petry of Winfield, Cynthia Petry of Cahokia, IL and Paula Hemmer (Tony) of Winfield; and his sister Shirley Simmermon of Bethel, OH. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
