He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Roy Briggs and Gracie Pearl Briggs (Cole); his wife Sharon; his brother Bob Briggs (Etta Jean); and his nephews, Robert, George "Danny" Briggs and Dick Briggs.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Briggs (LaDonna), Delinda Briggs and Lorie Angle (Kenny); his grandchildren, Camden Briggs (Courtney), Britnea Monaco (Ben), Mason Briggs, Kaylab Angle, Katie Schuld (Brock) and Tyler Angle (Kirsten); his great grandchildren, Rawle, Raelyn, Rhett Briggs, Franki Monaco, Carter, Henry Angle and Aubrey Schuld; and his sisters-in-law, Ila Fern Briggs, Margie Briggs, Debbie McClintock, Diane Foster and Debbie Olsen. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
