He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Clay Ridenour and Mildred Elizabeth Ridenour (Mullins); his wife Mary Elizabeth Ridenour (Knatcal); his brother Quincy Clay Ridenour; and his half-siblings, Charles Riley Jr., Sharon Spruce and Martha Pearl Brown.
He is survived by: his children, James Lee Ridenour, Amy Lou Ewing, Paul Duane Ridenour (Shelley) and Barbara Ann Blaylock; his grandchildren, Patrick Ridenour, Brianna Ridenour, Jessica Crowder (Jason), Christan Logan, Mike Adams (Deanna), Hannah Galloway (Robert), Jaci Millam (Chad), Chris Ridenour (Liz), Nicole Ridenour, Heather Blaylock (Donovan), Megan Bentley (Josh) and Brandon Ward; his sister Dorothy Mae Kruse; and his half-brothers, Leslie Ridenour and John Ridenour. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association or the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) in care of the funeral home.
