She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Lawrence Fern and Lilliam Elizabeth Fern (Bell); her brother Larry Fern; her half-sister Betty Osburn (Howard); and her grandson-in-law Daniel Dillon.
She is survived by: her husband Peter Elwood "Pete" Volkenant; her son Markus Hall; her nephew Michael Osburn (Anna); her granddaughter Crystal Dillon; her great grandchildren, Gabrielle and Heather; her brothers, John Fern (Beth) and Carl Fern; and her sister-in-law Joyce Fern. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
To allow for social distancing, friends may call Saturday between 12:00 p. m. and 8:00 p. m. at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
