He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Thomas Lopata and Mary Katherine Lopata (Doyle); his wife Sheila Ray Jensen; and his sisters, Sandy Broderick and Susan Lopata.
He is survived by: his son David Lopata Jr.; his stepdaughter Chelsea Garren; his stepgrandchildren, Joshua, Randi and Destiny Garren; and his brother Dennis Lopata of Wilbraham, Mass.. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
