He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Ray Cooper and Evelyn Nadine Cooper (Dady); his wife Beulah Pearl "Aunt Bea" Carver; his daughter Lavonne Nicole Cooper; and his siblings, Randy "Barney" Cooper, Gary Vincent Cooper and Raedeana Jean Ramirez.

He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Lynn Nelson (Willie); his grandchildren, Tally, Key, Jaylee and Kaylin Nelson; and his sisters, Sharon L. Ebeling, Charla R. Cummins and Myrna Shirey. He is also survived by several step-children and step-grandchildren.
