He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Chaney and Nezzie Chaney; his former wives, JoAnn and Viola; his children, Bruce Chaney and Lola Ann Chaney; his stepson Joe Isley; his brothers, John Chaney and Paul Chaney; and his grandson Joshua Chaney.
He is survived by: his wife Bertha Chaney of Windsor; his children, Darrell Chaney of Aurora and Susan Chaney of Marionville; his stepchildren, Thomas Bothwell (Cindy) of Centerview, Daniel Bothwell of Carthage, Donna Powers of Windsor, Dana Bishop of Windsor, Virginia Bothwell of Windsor, Judy Price (Walter) of Aurora, Jean Haddock (Junior) of Cassville, Rick Isley of Knob Noster and Randy Isley (Jenise) of Shell Knob; and his daughter-in-law Teresa Chaney of Aurora. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and numerous step-great grandchildren.
