He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Schaffer and Gertrude Schaffer; and his wife Bonnie Lynne Metroff. He is survived by: his children, Bryon L. Schaffer (Trish) of Willow Springs, MO, Steve J. Schaffer of Waynesville, MO and Jeannie C. Thompson (Robert) of Willow Springs, MO; his grandchildren, Bryon M. Schaffer, Mykul J. Moffis of Willow Springs, MO, Chanda L. Schaffer of Colorado Springs, CO and Cora L. Moffis of Willow Springs, MO; his stepgranddaughters, Jessica L. Green of Republic, MO and Breanna A. Zahner of Van Buren, MO; and his siblings-in-law, Betty L. Robinson (Bill) of Pekin, IL and Kenny Gerber of Peoria, IL. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
