It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Ellen Newton of Willow Springs, Missouri, born in Moko, Arkansas, who passed away on February 1, 2021, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Blaine and Mary Louella Haslett Skaggs; her husband Roy "Shaddy" Newton; her siblings, Buford Skaggs, Buena Javaux, Emble Pengrie, Vestie Skaggs and Delores "Dee" Doss; and her son-in-law Jerry Cherry.

She is survived by: her son Michael Shaddy Newton (Sheila); her cousin Gracie Stephens; her daughter Sandy Cherry; her grandchildren, Tracie, Amber Cherry of West Plains, Amanda Mitchell (Brett) of Dora, Adie Williams of Springfield, Jimmy Miller (Julie) of West Plains, Emily Forth (Brad) of St. Louis and Sam Miller (Kayla) of West Plains; and her niece Katherine Skaggs Bray. She is also survived by sisters, than that of Aunt and niece.
