She was predeceased by: her father Ernest "Doc"; her son Eric Wirth; and her sister Jean Ketzle. She is survived by: her son Dirk; her husband Jack Wirth; her grandchildren, John, Joshua, Aaron Wirth, Audrey Wirth Phelps, Jasmine, Staci Wirth and Dina Herrera Samuel; and also John. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
Neighbors donated paint and Ruth sketched childhood characters from stories and the neighborhood children painted.
