He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Case and Cora Dunnings Case; his former wife Irene Rutledge; his wife Clara Jo Barton; his siblings, Manual Case, Don Case, Dee Dickey, June Jones, Pat Kerr, Erma Honeycutt and Betty Wrenfrow; his sons-in-law, Dwight Brawley and Jerry Strain; and his great grandchild Elsie Barton.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Brandon Tharp, Aslhey Garris, Scotty Case, Eric Case, Chad Parrott, Dustin Barton, Tyler Barton, Brendon Wilson, Keegan Wilson, Kim Barton, Allen Barton, Brittany Hebert, Katie Guidry, Dessie Moore, Shelby Barton, Hunter Barton and Joshua Ipock. He is also survived by his children and 5 stepchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the United Freewill Baptist Church (1814 Co Rd 6460, West Plains, MO 65775). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Carter Funeral Home (827 Chestnut St, Thayer, MO 65791).
In lieu of flowers the family requests monetary donations be made to the Gideons International.
