He was predeceased by: his parents, Quentin Victor Hummel and Lois Jean Cauldwell; his son Rod Hummel; his grandson Randy Hummel; and his brothers, Ed Cauldwell and Delbert "Corky" Cauldwell.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue Lawson (Huitt); his daughter Carla Tryon (Denny); his brother Kevin Hummel; and his grandchildren, Preston, Justin, Levi and Kaden. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
