He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Poston and Sarah Poston (Lashley); his brothers, Sheridan Poston and Curtis Poston; his son Mark William Poston; and his wife Mary.

He is survived by: his sons, Christopher Lee Poston, Warren Poston of Freeport and Chris Poston (Elizabeth) of Williamsville; his grandchildren, Jeb, Jason, Justin Poston and Daniel Dixon; and also, Lucille Poston Edwards, Betty Poston Tucker and Sue Poston Weatherford. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
