He is survived by: his wife Vicky; his daughters, Lisa Carter Lewis (Lisle), Tamatha Kay Carter (Jake Gordy) and Melodi Rae Carter (Lacey); his siblings, Edwin Earl Carter (Mina), John Milton Carter (Susan), Barbara Louise Hopper and Vivian Joan Cruce (Dickie); his grandchildren, Jacy Rayne Johnmeyer, Logan Thomas Johnmeyer, Rowan LeAnn Carter, Morgan Gordy and Ryland Gordy; and his son-in-law Aaron Johnmeyer (Christine Koehler). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
