He was predeceased by: his parents, Turner Gray Hook and Ruby Hook (Bell); and his siblings, Joseph Duane "Jody" Hook, Joe Hook, George "Bob" Hook and Alice Spencer.

He is survived by: his siblings, Kenneth Hook (Diane) of Eudora, Turner Hook of Williamsburg, David Hook (Linda) of Williamsburg, Odessa Riley and Susie Trimble of Fort Scott; his sisters-in-law, Bambi Hook and Mary Hook; and his family, Caitlin Wentworth and Harley Hook. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
