He is survived by: his sister Francis Montgomery; his daughter Valvalia Thater (Gary); his daughter-in-law Donna Maggard; his grandchildren, Ryan Thater of Clever, Kayla Robison of Fairfax and Amanda Maggard (Nate Mussan) of San Fransico, California; and his great grandchildren, Harper and Casey Robison of Fairfax, Virginia.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
A burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (3506 N National Ave, Springfield, MO 65807).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shriners of St. Louis, Missouri, in the memory of James Maggard.
