He was predeceased by: his parents, George Castrop and Mamie Castrop (Schmitz); his wife Joyce; and his siblings, Alfred Castrop, Martin Castrop, Mary Castrop, Helen Stratman and Julie Vella.
He is survived by: his brothers, Hank Castrop (Betty) of Wardsville and Ed Castrop (Barbara) of Oakland, Tennessee; his stepchildren, Charles Andrew "Drew" Bailey (Phyllis) of Troy, Thomas Bailey of Jefferson City and Rita Sanderson (Doug) of Willard; and his grandchildren, John Bailey, Janet Alexander, Jeremy Bailey, Shawn Motlagh, Amy Sanderson, Jenifer Duncan, Margaret Sherman, LaVern Sanderson, Lara Porter and Aylah Sanderson. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
