He was predeceased by: his parents, Orene Bird and Charles Minich; his sister Carol Reeves; his stepdaughter Karla Kaye Dove; and his close friend Phoebe.

He is survived by: his brothers, David Minich (Kathy) of Lenexa, KS and Dennis Minich (Leslie) of Harrisonville, MO.; his wife Patsy; his children, Pam Schoff (Mark) of Middleton, ID, Trisha Beck (Travis) of Overland Park, KS and Gary Minich of Colorado; and his stepdaughter Vickie Goodin (Mike) of Strafford, MO. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson.
