He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Reynolds and Aza Reynolds (Helderman); his daughter Carla; his wife Mildred Proffer Reynolds; and his sister Mary Lou Eakins (Stroder).

He is survived by: his son Scott Reynolds (Pam) of Whitewater; his grandchildren, Crystal Clayton (Nick) of Plano, TX, Kyle Reynolds (Kylie) of Forsyth, IL and Garret Reynolds (Haylee) of Northlake, TX; his great grandchild Vivianne Clayton of Plano, TX; and his grandchildren, Eloise Reynolds of Forsyth, IL and Oaklee Reynolds of Northlake, TX..
