She was predeceased by: her parents, John Clifford "J. C." and Helen Mizella Lemar (Austin); her husband Norman Grant Pearson; her daughter Suzanne Koonce; her brothers, Jimmie Nelson Lemar and Curtis Gerald Lemar; and her grandson Cameron Austin Leeds.

She is survived by: her children, James Curtis Pearson of Maryville, MO and Janet Kaye Leeds (Craig); her son-in-law Marton Koonce; her grandchildren, David J. Griffin (Jodi), Michele L. Koonce and Alexandra Leeds; her great grandchild Camden Patrice Griffin; and her brother-in-law James W. Pearson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to The United Methodist Church of Weston.
