He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Shipman and Daisey Shipman; and his brothers, Richard Shipman and Gary Shipman. He is survived by: his son David Shipman (Michelle Shipman); his grandson Jacob; his son James E Shipman (Shelley Shipman); his grandsons, Cole, Carson and Caleb; his daughter Karen Shipman; his brother Larry Shipman; and his sisters-in-law, Jane Shipman and Betty Shipman. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
