He was predeceased by: his parents, Lula and James Cline Sr.; and his siblings, Maxine Flora-Reed, Frances Wyatt, Mary Pennington, Ann Norfleet, Johnny, Robert and Larry Cline.
He is survived by: his wife Cleo "Jackie" Cline; his sons, James L. Cline, Jerry Cline (Debbie) and Dennis Cline (Shannon); and his brother David Cline (Linda). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
