He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Atkins, and Ina Atkins, Sr. (Fisher); and his sisters, Sondra VanBibber and Janet Carriker. He is survived by: his wife Sue Lanning; his children, Frank K. Atkins, III (Dawn) of Platte City, MO, Amy Rice of Lake Quivira, KS, Pam Anderson (Danny) of Platte City, MO and Kim Lanning of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Tosha Knoche (Zachary), Amber Adkins (Heath), Corey Rice (Paige) and Aly Anderson; his great grandchildren, Lance, Derek and Jenna Knoche; his brother John Saunders (Lori) of Marceline, MO; and his uncle Russell Fisher (Carol). He is also survived by several niece, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Delaney Funeral Home (1720 N Missouri Ave, Marceline, MO 64658). A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Masonic Lodge of Weston, MO.
